Sand blasting

Brief technical description:

• Blasting is an abrasive process. Pressure is used to blast a suitable agent onto the component surface. The aim of this process is to remove any rust, dye residues or burrs from the surface. It can also be used to roughen the surface.
• The blasting agents are chosen for a specific application, with glass beads being used to achieve a silky, matt surface, corundum for a dull, matt surface or steel castings.
