High-tech corrosion protection

Zinc-nickel coatings were developed as a result of increasing requirements, in particular from the automotive industry, for corrosion protection against exposure to temperature, road salt and climatic conditions.

Advantages:

• time-proven high-tech corrosion protection
• Chrome(VI)-free for transparent and black passivations
• extremely high corrosion resistance, even in temperatures up to 160°C
• no contact corrosion when used with aluminium         

          
These properties have led to the process being used by all German automobile manufacturers as well as in solar technology.

Areas of application (examples):

• Mounting and piping systems in the engine area. Rotating parts for brake and magnet systems.
• Ball pivots and activating rods in the chassis area.
• Housings and small parts for door locks and bonnet catches.
• Activating levers in the gear and transmission area.
