Eloxal
Decorative and protective surfaces - anodic oxidation eloxal
During anodic oxidation, aluminium surfaces that are 10-20 µm thick, extremely hard and consequently wear-resistant are formed. The film has excellent adhesive strength as it is formed from the basic material.
Anodic aluminium oxide surfaces can be coloured to almost any requirement.
Highly decorative surface effects can be achieved by pre-treating the basic material mechanically or chemically.
- highly decorative surface effects (from matt to high-gloss) on aluminium
- can have a wide range of colours
- good electrical isolation properties
- high degree of hardness (250-500 HV) and resistance to wear and tear
- film and adhesive strength
- UV resistant
- true to dimension
Areas of application (examples):
- Lens components, camera housings, frames for the optical industry
