The Holzapfel Group has decades of experience with silver surfaces, e.g. for circuit breakers. Silver-coated circuit breakers are used, for example, in stepping switches for high-performance transformers that are always required to work perfectly to ensure a reliable power supply. These contact fingers are coated by us and enable large amounts of electrical power to switch polarity with great reliability and speed.

The Holzapfel Group coats the casing of a handheld laser used in dentistry by means of two different procedures in accordance with the varying requirements to be met by the component. The inner casing of the medical device is passivated, while the outer casing is anodised. Both processes have been specially developed to match each other and also the component and its functions.
